Connects Communities Through Park Cleanups
Overview of the App
The app features a clean, user-friendly interface with a map-based dashboard for locating clean-up events, an event calendar for scheduling, and a homepage showcasing upcoming events and tutorials. It also allows users to invite friends who share an environmental consciousness, fostering a sense of community and collective action. The primary focus is on cleaning up neighborhood parks, making the experience more engaging and social to encourage greater participation.
Problem Statement
Trash buildup in parks is a persistent issue that negatively impacts the environment, wildlife, and public health. Litter accumulates when waste is improperly disposed of, overwhelming trash bins or being carelessly discarded. This not only diminishes the park's natural beauty but also attracts pests, contaminates soil and water, and poses hazards to both animals and visitors. As trash piles up, it creates an uninviting and potentially unsafe environment, discouraging public use and diminishing the recreational value of these spaces.

Launching the Concept
To launch the Ecopark app, a website will showcase its features and connect users to local park cleanups. A social media campaign will drive awareness and downloads, while partnerships with businesses and nonprofits will expand its impact.
